Kiva, Spruce Tree House cliff dwelling

A traditional kiva roof covering has been added to an original kiva in the Spruce Tree House cliff dwelling to allow visitors to expereience what it would have been like hundreds of years ago for those that lived here and performed spiritual ceremonies in these small round rooms built into the ground. Created while serving as Artist-In-Residence at Mesa Verde National Park.
