Snowshoe to the Tennessee Pass Cookhouse..Caption:(Friday 01/14/2011 Leadville)In a Yurt at 10,800 feet on a snowy Colorado mountain seems like an odd place to find a gourmet dinner. But with a little determination (and snowshoes) that's exactly what you'll get at the Tennessee Pass Cookhouse. After tromping a mile through the snowy forest, the Yurt (and it's warm, tasty contents) are a welcome sight to see (and smell). The yurt has no electricty or running water, but has enough candles for light and ambiance and propane for cooking. ..Summary:Snowshoe to Colorado's Tennessee Pass Cookhouse...Photo by James Branaman
