The rising moon appears like the sun in this long-exposure of a loggerhead sea turtle nesting near midnight at the Archie Carr National Wildlife Refuge near Melbourne Beach. According to Dr. Llewellyn "Doc" Ehrhart, for loggerheads, it is arguably the best nesting beach on the entire rim of the Atlantic Ocean in part due to the protection is receives from development.
